Hi everyone,
Well, I don't know what button I just pushed, but I am getting two titles for the price of one! Anyway, I thought I would tell everyone about this cool experimental class I am taking with Sylvie Landsdowne. She is a great lampworker that I meet when we both took a lampworking class with Leah Fairbanks and Kim Obisin back in 92 or 93...maybe even 94.. somewhere around then. Anyway, she went on to do lampworking and after a friend of mine tried to torch off my hair, I decided to stay with seed bead work.
Sylvie has designed a series of 8 assignments that we know nothing about until Monday afternoon, and then we have one week to make a bead or centerpiece in metal clay and then post a photo of it to discuss with the other artists in the group. I am way excited about my assignment and if it comes out great, then I may post the photo....until then, here are some photos of my experimental pieces. See if you can figure out what I did! I hope you like them, Kelly
Oh my gosh, you almost got your hair torched off!
ReplyDeleteYou better stick to PMC. I like these beads, especially the bottom one...
Thanks Wendy....I have had all the different parts just hanging around and decided that they looked great together and there you go....kelly
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you have a blog!!!!!! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE fan of your work, even bought some things from you at B&B, so now to see the things you are making without having to wait a whole year, and to read your thoughts and ideas, well that's just icing on the cake! Thank you for sharing.
Love everything you've been up to especially the rings, very cool!
Thanks Patricia,
ReplyDeleteI really like being able to post things when I want and talk about things I love. As soon as I can figure out how to make a for sale page, then you won't have to wait until B&B to see new work.....glad you like the rings...I have been having fun making them! Thanks for writing, Kelly
